Coso Small Works

This week was busy! I hosted an event on Thursday night at the Copley Society of Art with some colleagues. It is a great little gallery on Newbury Street in Boston. This is the first year that I was involved but my friend Jonathan Radford started organizing  this event years ago with his colleague Deborah Gordon and invited me to be one of his co-hosts this year.   It was such a great opportunity to meet up with clients and colleagues in a cheery holiday way, I hope to be involved again next year.  Payne Bouchier was our other co-host.  They do amazing carpentry work and their team is a really lovely group of people. If you are going to be in Boston this time next year (or maybe you live here) I would love to invite you to join us next time around… me.

Currently at the gallery is the ‘Small Works” Collection.  Great art at great prices make for memorable Christmas presents to yourself or others.  These are a few of my favorites from the night.  If you want to see more or buy these, get in touch with the gallery directly (Suzan W. Redgate the Executive Director is the sweetest art buying helper ever).

Hi, I'm Rochelle and for 18 years I have worked as a landscape designer, author/writer, and design teacher. I've designed residential and hospitality (for hotels, restaurants, and spas) gardens across the USA and in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. After many years of teaching garden design topics in person, I launched the PITH + VIGOR Boot Camp series in early 2018. Through my blog, social media, and online courses (Garden Design Bootcamp and Planting Design Boot Camp) I aim to help homeowners learn how to confidently design and create home gardens that reflect their own personal and unique style.

I love walking down Newbury Street, taking in the art galleries, the sites and the wonderful cafes.
Whenever I have the chance to visit Boston , this street is always on my list of places to visit.
There used to be a fabulous crafts guild on this street. It always inspired me to craft more ‘out of the box’ presentations during the years that I was in school.
I hope that it is still there and still inspiring people of all ages.

Last night I went into the city ( San Francisco ) to view the annual Fort Mason Art Center open house art sale.
Lots of creativity and beautiful works of art.
Inspires one to get into the studio more often !

    Happy Art trails.
