Daily Garden: Duncan Garden in Spokane, WA

May 5, 2010

What a beautiful trailing wall — with not a dreadful creeping phlox in sight (I think).   Anyone able to identify some of these plants?

  1. private says:

Very pretty. It breaks the rule of using contrasting forms for a gorgeous mono-texture mono-shape (better word?) multichromatic effect. So new theory, if you have enough variety in any one of texture, shape and color you can keep the others mostly constant and get a sleek look. I bet I would like it even in shades of green though.

  2. Erika says:

This is so lovely! exuberant! a spring shock of bold color! YES!

    Surely, in the wall is:
    Aurinia
    Aubretia
    Cerastium
    and, perhaps, Iberis.

    Awesome color.
