Before & After: Brad’s Backyard Cleanup

before, backyard, overgrown, fix, cleanup

I’m all about low cost improvements, especially when they can be achieved without much more than a couple days of weeding, pruning and mulching. Brad’s yard was in serious need of de-jungling, and the end result looks 10 times better. It’s a great reminder that you don’t need much cash or even handy skills to make your yard, or even just parts of your yard, look better.

after, backyard, cleanup

A stone path was brought to the surface after some simple clipping and the patio was weeded and brushed off. The 2 beds are no longer part of an endless carpet of grass and the bushes have all been trimmed. Mulch was added and a photo was taken….and really, that’s about all that was done. I love makeovers like this! -erin

Garden Fashion: The Neon Trend

Oh 80’s with all your garish blue eyeshadow, big fat shoulders and stink inducing jelly shoes….I wish you to stay far far away….except for those neon parts.  I miss those bright colors just enough to let them back in.  But this time, I will take them  in neat and tidy versions (as opposed to paint…
