Daily Garden: Pallets for A Community Wall Garden

I love this quick project (using free pallets and a little stain!) that transformed an ugly industrial wall….

Inspired by this garden by Stacy K Floral:

David Walrod  of Urban Dirt, created this garden:

Charming right?  And that wall looks so much better now don’t you think?

This garden was real a community effort…After the property owner initially contacted Jan at  Two Women and a Hoe (who BTW is in Michigan)  — she reached out to the Urban Dirt Team who came through with the design, labor, and materials (which were ultimately donated by  David Walrod of the Urban Dirt Show, and The California Cactus Center). (oh the magic of the internet to make a project happen!!)

Monday Morning Light

How are you all today?   I am very sad and I have to admit – a bit shaken. I had a minor – but not non-existent – panic attack when I dropped off my 1st grader and 4th-grader at school this morning.  I hope that is normal and I hope it passes with time….

Who is using Cocoa Shells?

Yesterday I helped with a garden that was finished with cocoa shell mulch.   I have seen it and even had it used on projects regularly in in England, but here in the greater Boston area, it simply is not that prevalent.  I am on a hunt to buy it locally (I just contacted my favorite…
