Daily Garden: Jeffery Gordon Smith’s Vineyard Pool

the vineyard garden jeffery gordon smith

I have this sense that I have written about this garden before — though searches through my archives don’t turn it up….so forgive me if I am sharing again, but I am quite taken with this garden.  Jeffery Gordon Smith designed this vineyard garden and for his beautiful results and presentation, he just won the Land8Lounge planting plan competition.

Hi, I'm Rochelle and for 18 years I have worked as a landscape designer, author/writer, and design teacher. I've designed residential and hospitality (for hotels, restaurants, and spas) gardens across the USA and in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. After many years of teaching garden design topics in person, I launched the PITH + VIGOR Boot Camp series in early 2018. Through my blog, social media, and online courses (Garden Design Bootcamp and Planting Design Boot Camp) I aim to help homeowners learn how to confidently design and create home gardens that reflect their own personal and unique style.

    Hi there,

I’ve only recently discovered your blog – I am a keen backyard gardener who knows next to nothing about horticulture or garden design. I’m interested to know what some of the plantings are in the gardens that you feature and wonder if that is something you might consider including at the end of posts or under photos to give some idea of what the designer is working with. Just a thought!

    Bye now,
    Jacqui

I really like his work too. The California central coast is beautiful and his website showcases some of their work:

Wonderful design and use of plants throughout.
Seamlessly blends with the native central coast landscape.
