Before & After – Charlotte Rowe

Charlotte Rowe is a garden designer who works primarily in West London (my old ‘hood). Her style is modern but not spare as I find that all her gardens are layered with lots of texture and materials. Her website is filled with stunning projects and is a must visit.

I chose this particular before and after because, while I was living in London (a bit over 4 years ago now), there was this show hosted by Alan Titchmarsh and he had a penchant to paint garden walls ‘Titchmarsh’ blue. A lovely idea but quickly copied and repeated so many times it became annoying (at least to me). Anyway, this garden reminds me the of the Titchmarsh blue walls but in an all together more interesting and stylish way. I love that Charlotte was able to take this inspiration and make it her own.

Hi, I'm Rochelle and for 18 years I have worked as a landscape designer, author/writer, and design teacher. I've designed residential and hospitality (for hotels, restaurants, and spas) gardens across the USA and in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. After many years of teaching garden design topics in person, I launched the PITH + VIGOR Boot Camp series in early 2018. Through my blog, social media, and online courses (Garden Design Bootcamp and Planting Design Boot Camp) I aim to help homeowners learn how to confidently design and create home gardens that reflect their own personal and unique style.

I really appreciate your work Charlotte. your work itself showing your hard work and creativity in designing. The work you had done with the lights and ornamental plants are just outstanding…
    Good Job
