With gardening season bashfully waiting for its time to shine, I thought I’d write a post about planting flowers. I always have a hard time committing to those little tiny flowers that come in those black trays of 6 or 8 because the reward always seems so far away! As with most gardening, this is obviously to be expected…but they always look so dainty and misplaced at first that I usually just shy away from them altogether. Which is why I was pretty excited to find this post over on Our Old Rowhouse documenting how quickly flowers and plants will develop over the course of 2 months.
Wow! The small space filled up fast and the bright red impatiens took off like rockets! Everything else looks great, too. Like I said, just a simple Before & After post today, but I always find it fascinating to see how plants grow so quickly. I thought this would be good encouragement to keep in the back pocket for next time. You know, when you think about planting teeny tiny flowers and are faced with the usual hesitation. Let me know how it goes. 😉 -erin
