As I continue to work on site upgrades and the summer finishes out, studio ‘g’ continues to grow — I’m looking to expand the team. I’m looking for a couple of talented writers to help me here. If you are interested, email me.
1) Before & After Editor – Do you love gardens and landscapes, have a knack for finding great projects and like to work with designers and homeowners to get their projects featured? Oh — and good writing, editing and photo manipulations skills are a must (but some of that is also teachable). If this is you — I would love to hear from you.
2) Regional Plant Finder — Designer Plant Nerds Only. It is my general opinion that the average plant palette (as supplied by the average nursery) is far too narrow (in the USA). I’m looking for a handful of plant enthusiasts to help fill our heads with the lesser known, the new, the fascinating and the funky — from all across the country and planting zones. If you love plants and have a penchant for writing about and sharing off the beaten track start performers please apply (I’m looking for a few people here!).
Send me a message, I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
**I thought it would be fun to pull one of my favorite (though I have hundreds of favorites) ‘before & after’ gardens….this one was from a few years ago, but I still love the resourcefulness, and the orange details (go figure!).
Today’s first house and garden makeover is a true curb appeal revolution. Small houses in established neighborhoods are among my favorite types of projects because you can really play with the details and the change from dated to extraordinary can be huge (like this one!) And really …green and orange!?! wow- that is a great color combo.
The existing grapevines are happily hugging the new rainwater collection tanks.
Terracotta pots could not be more approriate for this garden. They really are the perfect choice to play off the color of the doors. What are you loving about this garden?
