The Real Grey Gardens Before & After

You must see this collection of Photos in the New York Times showing the real life makeover of the Grey Gardens property (former East Hampton home of Edith Bouvier Beale and her daughter Little Edie and currently owned by Sally Quinn and Bejnamin C. Bradlee of the Washington Post.) The Garden was recreated by Victoria Fensterer who has worked on the property for more than 20 years. Here area couple pictures, but it is worth a click to see more.

If you are into OTT cottage gardens (definite wow factor!!), you can see a video of the property narrated by Victoria herself on her website.

Hi, I'm Rochelle and for 18 years I have worked as a landscape designer, author/writer, and design teacher. I've designed residential and hospitality (for hotels, restaurants, and spas) gardens across the USA and in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. After many years of teaching garden design topics in person, I launched the PITH + VIGOR Boot Camp series in early 2018. Through my blog, social media, and online courses (Garden Design Bootcamp and Planting Design Boot Camp) I aim to help homeowners learn how to confidently design and create home gardens that reflect their own personal and unique style.
