Are you ready to be blown away? I was reading the Urban Garden Deco Guide earlier today and followed a link and literally feel like I discovered a hidden Italian treasure chest of a company. Teracrea only has about 16 products but I am so excited to introduce your to almost all of them. Such a well edited set of products is something I find to be a rare quality. Each product has my mind spinning with options and designs. I share with you my favorites — which is almost their entire offering….
Airplant is a steel wire hanger for Tillandsias. They can be hung from the ceiling, hooked together to create a curtian and will provide the perfect place for Tillandsias (easy to grow plants that thrive on moisture and dust in the air) to grow.
Balconcino is a stack-able series of containers with little balconies. The shape allows the creation of green columns.
Bambou is another stackable planting container that allows for a growing space between the planters.
Chip is a cylindrical vase, slanted and vertically cut, so that it can lean perfectly against any wall, in interior or exterior architecture. Its design allows for pairing up two vases in a whole.
Chop, like Chip is also a cylindrical vase, slanted but with two vertical cuts in a right angle, so that it can easily fit in any corner. The shape of allows to combinations of more than two and up to four elements to create island.
Family-Pot is a system that can be organized in a variety of ways. The pot is very lightweight container that can hang from the ceiling on adjustable steel cables or be places on a folding screen.
Fulguro is an exciting piece that can be added to any container, not just as a interesting accessory…but more importantly to gather and redirect more water into the soil.
Greenroom is a set of large terracotta pots, interconnected by means of fiberglass cane arranged in arched shapes, acting as a support for climbing plants; by positioning three or more pots, you can create a green area covered with plants neatly growing along the cane.
Infinito and another group of box shaped pieces called Labirinto are groups of containers that can be used singularly to combined to create spirals, lines, corners, complex figures of whatever you can imagine.
Treille is a system of cylindrical vases, horizontally aligned and connected by nylon belts and height-adjustable painted stainless steel bars. I love that it can be planted with low growing colorful plants to make lines in the air, or it can be planted with climbers allowed to twine up the structure to create a green wall.
Separetor was designed as a partition for social areas, cafés, restaurants and other meeting areas. It seems like an excellent choice for an interesting container based plant screen.
So are you as inspired as I am? Seriosly, I think this is the best collection of design products for interior and exterior gardens that I have ever seen. My favorite, I think, (though it is hard to choose) is the greenroom product. I can imagine creating the most beautiful light and airy garden tunnel paths. What is your favorite?
