Teracrea’s Amazing Product’s

December 8, 2009

Are you ready to be blown away?  I was reading the Urban Garden Deco Guide earlier today and followed a link and literally feel like I discovered a hidden Italian treasure chest of a company.  Teracrea only has about 16 products but I am so excited to introduce your to almost all of them.   Such a well edited set of products is something I find to be a rare quality. Each product has my mind spinning with options and designs. I share with you my favorites — which is almost their entire offering….

Airplant Tillandsias holder

Airplant is a steel wire hanger for Tillandsias.  They can be hung from the ceiling, hooked together to create a curtian and will provide the perfect place for Tillandsias (easy to grow plants that thrive on moisture and dust in the air) to grow.

stackable plant containers

Balconcino is a stack-able series of containers with little balconies.  The shape allows the creation of green columns.

bamboo inspired stackable planting containers

Bambou is another stackable planting container that allows for a growing space between the planters.

slanted vase for growing container

Chip is a cylindrical vase, slanted and vertically cut, so that it can lean perfectly against any wall, in interior or exterior architecture. Its design allows for pairing up two vases in a whole.

chop vase container for plants

Chop, like Chip is also a cylindrical vase, slanted but with two vertical cuts in a right angle, so that it can easily fit in any corner. The shape of allows to combinations of more than two and up to four elements to create island.

family pot container

Family-Pot is a system that can be organized in a variety of ways.  The pot is very lightweight container that can   hang from the ceiling on adjustable steel cables or be places on a folding screen.

watering container for plants
Fulguro is an exciting piece that can be added to any container, not just as a interesting accessory…but more importantly to gather and redirect more water into the soil.

climbing plant container

Greenroom is a set of large terracotta pots, interconnected by means of fiberglass cane arranged in arched shapes, acting as a support for climbing plants; by positioning three or more pots, you can create a green area covered with plants neatly growing along the cane.

infinito

Infinito and another group of box shaped pieces called Labirinto are groups of containers that can be used singularly to combined to create spirals, lines, corners, complex figures of whatever you can imagine.

trelle trellis type planter

treille-4

Treille is a system of cylindrical vases, horizontally aligned and connected by nylon belts and height-adjustable painted stainless steel bars.  I love that it can be planted with low growing colorful plants to make lines in the air, or it  can be planted with climbers allowed to twine up the structure to create a green wall.

trellis screen planters

Separetor was designed as a partition for social areas, cafés, restaurants and other meeting areas.  It seems like an excellent choice for an interesting container based plant screen.

So are you as inspired as I am?  Seriosly, I think this is the best collection of  design products for interior and exterior gardens that I have ever seen. My favorite, I think, (though it is hard to choose) is the greenroom product.  I can imagine creating the most beautiful light and airy garden tunnel paths.  What is your favorite?

  1. Oooh, I love Balconcino, and Treille, and Infinito! A lot of neat products that are perfect for apartment & condo gardeners.

  2. Risa @ gardenandthegoodlife.com says:

I love the idea of making spirals and patterns with the pots outdoors. Where are those New England customers that would be willing to take the plunge?

  3. Chuck says:

THOSE are the types of “new and different” items that are missing in the majority of garden centers these days. Very cool.

  4. Oh my gosh, these are amazing! I like them all (except the weird fan things, not loving that visual) but the three that I can immediately see using in a design are the Chip, the Chop and the Treille.

    Thanks for sharing; very cool!

  5. louise garwood says:

Chip, greenroom and infinito , but do we have to really pick favorites? they are all really great ideas! Fab!

  6. Love, Love, LOVE these products! Especially the Labarinto….I can’t wait to find a use for these in one of my upcoming gardens….thanks for this great site!
