Garden Design Idea: Winter Testing

My christmas tree has not yet made it to the burn pile.  I have been moving it around the front yard (standing it up, by shoving it into a snow bank) to test out how I might like a visual masse of something here, there, or the next place.  I know, your tree is probably long gone by now, or maybe you don’t have so much snow to work with, but maybe next year. I’m really learning a few things about my own preferences for my own garden – in the dead of winter, with a dead tree.

Hi, I'm Rochelle and for 18 years I have worked as a landscape designer, author/writer, and design teacher. I've designed residential and hospitality (for hotels, restaurants, and spas) gardens across the USA and in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. After many years of teaching garden design topics in person, I launched the PITH + VIGOR Boot Camp series in early 2018. Through my blog, social media, and online courses (Garden Design Bootcamp and Planting Design Boot Camp) I aim to help homeowners learn how to confidently design and create home gardens that reflect their own personal and unique style.

This is actually a really good idea. If my tree weren’t fake, I might try it. Hope you’re faring well with the latest round!
