Industrial Wasteland Garden – Neal’s Yard, London

August 24, 2009

Near London’s Covent garden, tucked away in side streets is Neal’s Yard….home to this charming garden. Using recycled industrial waste, 55-gallon drums that have been transformed into colorful bench / planter combos. The benches are 4×4 pieces of 1 inch plywood slid over a drum and supported by steel L-brackets screwed into the based of the drums.  The drums are finished in bright colors and planted with a variety of trees and plants.
