Iron Age Drain Grates

December 19, 2008

Years ago I had a project where I needed drain grates just like those that Iron Age provides.  Of course I couldn’t find them at the time.  So, now that I have found Iron Age, I am filing their details away here. Their grates come in a wide variety of patterns. Their grates are made to fit most standard size trench drains, catch basin drains and also tree grates.

There is a greater interest in water conservation, rain gardens, and roof gardens.  Subsequently, I predict that rills and drains that are also garden features will increasingly become a trend.

  1. Great grates. I used to have a couple very old and weather-worn grates I hung as found “art.” These’d make great hang-able sculptures too.

And, I have to admit, these are much warmer and pleasant images that the last few posts you’ve posted! You must be getting (at some point soon) the big storm passing through right now – right on the heals of your ice storm. Nice.
