Could it be so well timed? The New York Botanical Garden uploaded this picture on Flickr yesterday. I am wondering…is it recent? It is a corpse flower (so called for it’s smell), latin name is Amorphophallus gigas (Giant Sumatrian Amorphophallus). (I love it when Latin sounds a little naughty) Is their’s about to bloom? (a rare occurrence). How apropos, just in time for valentines day. If you live nearby, it would be worth checking out….
