How much Sun do you really get?

Sun….it’s really on my mind.  The white out conditions outside my window all day today and this interminable winter are making me extraordinarily eager for the sun.   We lost a lot of tress in the ice storm, so I am excited about the up-side of that devastation…maybe I can do a bit more full sun gardening rather than the complete shade that I am used to.   I plan to use SunSticks to quickly get a handle on my new situation.   Have you used them?  I am eager to test them out.  SunStick’s website looks handy…they have an extensive list of plants to match up with whatever your SunStick tells you.  Very Handy.

Hi, I'm Rochelle and for 18 years I have worked as a landscape designer, author/writer, and design teacher. I've designed residential and hospitality (for hotels, restaurants, and spas) gardens across the USA and in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. After many years of teaching garden design topics in person, I launched the PITH + VIGOR Boot Camp series in early 2018. Through my blog, social media, and online courses (Garden Design Bootcamp and Planting Design Boot Camp) I aim to help homeowners learn how to confidently design and create home gardens that reflect their own personal and unique style.

Thank you for your blog about SunStick. We have an interior version as well for those of you who (like me) aren’t sure how ‘indirect’ light translates into anything meaningful when you are trying to figure out where to put a houseplant.

I am not sure how to send you a photo? Let me know if you get the chance.
