Today’s Plant Palette

I thought you might be interested in the plant palette that I helped a client create for her property today.  I really like how it all turned out.  The plants are all set out and will be going into the ground very soon.

Hi, I'm Rochelle and for 18 years I have worked as a landscape designer, author/writer, and design teacher. I've designed residential and hospitality (for hotels, restaurants, and spas) gardens across the USA and in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. After many years of teaching garden design topics in person, I launched the PITH + VIGOR Boot Camp series in early 2018. Through my blog, social media, and online courses (Garden Design Bootcamp and Planting Design Boot Camp) I aim to help homeowners learn how to confidently design and create home gardens that reflect their own personal and unique style.

Excellent color and textural choices! Nice work. Hope you post after pics, and maybe again when the plants mature. Please pass on any info on the face pot, what a great accent piece.
I use Cimicifuga ‘Pink Spike’ a lot, a real client pleaser.

I love the hellebore and clematis that you selected! And I really like the idea of a plant palette – this is how I think about arranging flowers. I always start with a floral palette.

Rochelle, those are some beautiful combinations. I especially like the Carex and Hellebore — never would have thought to match those two.
