Strawberry Tower

November 5, 2008

This is what is great about blogging. Some months ago, I did an inspiration board for Design New England Magazine and wanted to use the Strawberry tower from Bruce Post Company, but the owner of this small business couldn’t get the magazine photos of his amazing strawberry towers in the format that they needed, so, ultimately we had to choose something else. But these towers are amazing. My own ‘be bold and design like you mean it philosophy’ makes me want the version that is 6 ft tall (it is also available in a 4 ft version). Can you imagine these 6 foot tall pyramids around your garden covered in strawberries?

My own first year strawberry patch was decimated by the woodchuck(s?) that I have daydreams about inviting to a little ‘typewriter party’ but my husband won’t let me kill the thing(s?) and I don’t like guns. I am thinking that maybe this could help us work something out.

  1. Rochelle,
I love, love, love your site. I’m a designer (advertising/graphic) and a great fan of architecture and product design–so your site is right up my alley. I’ve often thought about featuring more garden products on my site when I come across interesting ones. My thing is travel though.

I’m going to investigate these strawberry towers though– I’ve got a VERY limited space garden and “growing up” is big in my garden.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I’ve added you to my bloglist and will be adding yours to my RSS feeds!

  2. Administrator says:

Thanks Jim! If you come across anything that you think would be interesting here, please do let me know. Also, given your thing is travel, if you ever want to guest blog about some gardens that you have visited….or even better about great hotel/resort gardens, I would love to have you.
BTW- the strawberry towers are great, but perhaps slightly pricey, but nonetheless beautiful and cool.

  3. Kirsten says:

So the whole thing gets filled with soil? a dumb question I’m guessing.
