Daily Garden: Dan’s Vintage Garden

This charming garden created by Dan Davis caught my eye because of it’s stylish use of vintage finds and garden accessories.  I recently had my eye on some vintage lanterns like the ones above, but passed as I have yet to rig up a way that they could hang over the top of the patio — I had not thought of hanging them from planter hooks.  The idea is a good one as I am swearing off hanging planters that do not have irrigation installed…it just too much of a gamble…no matter how vigilant I am, there is always that one hot summer day when I get too busy living my life to remember to water it.

Hi, I'm Rochelle and for 18 years I have worked as a landscape designer, author/writer, and design teacher. I've designed residential and hospitality (for hotels, restaurants, and spas) gardens across the USA and in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. After many years of teaching garden design topics in person, I launched the PITH + VIGOR Boot Camp series in early 2018. Through my blog, social media, and online courses (Garden Design Bootcamp and Planting Design Boot Camp) I aim to help homeowners learn how to confidently design and create home gardens that reflect their own personal and unique style.
