Giant Garden Lights & Teardrop Loungers

I love the stuff that Dedon brings to the market.  Damn, I just wish it weren’t so expensive.  Take these two recent introductions.  Don’t ask me what the prices are, I haven’t bothered to check – I already know it is outside of the budget.   All I can offer is that perhaps like me, this might inspire you in some way to think up something fabulous for your garden space.  Or maybe, kind like when you send your wishes to the cosmos, I can send this request to the internet ether … can there not be an H&M or an Ikea to the garden design world?   Great design priced for the masses.  Please, Please pretty please?

I suppose I can argue that my priorities are actually in check; even above my want for the cool giant Phillipe stark lamp and the teardrop hanging lounger, I really wish for the tree that the lounger hangs from.  Trees like that are hard to come by, even the best gardeners can’t just create them.  I have lots of mature trees in my garden but they are stick straight with nary an overhanging branch to hang something from.   Trees like this, with grassy meadows beneath are certainly something to covet.

Hi, I'm Rochelle and for 18 years I have worked as a landscape designer, author/writer, and design teacher. I've designed residential and hospitality (for hotels, restaurants, and spas) gardens across the USA and in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. After many years of teaching garden design topics in person, I launched the PITH + VIGOR Boot Camp series in early 2018. Through my blog, social media, and online courses (Garden Design Bootcamp and Planting Design Boot Camp) I aim to help homeowners learn how to confidently design and create home gardens that reflect their own personal and unique style.
