I feel as I have seen these little collections somewhere (like someone else’s blog— but I am not sure whose). I found them on Tara Sharp’s facebook page, but I am not sure that they are her creations. If they are yours, I would love to thank you for the inspiration (and give you credit here).
I really like the study of colors from the various garden spaces. Each of the images, in and of themselves, are exciting little vignettes, but organizing them into color studies is even more eye catching. It is interesting to see the how the mood of each space is so affected by the color scheme. I also find it easier to hone in on schemes that I like more than others when looking at them as groups. It seems like these would be a really handy tool to talk to clients about color and what they like and don’t like.
Which is your favorite scheme? Mine is the 3rd one with the navy blues/Blacks greens and neutrals. My least favorite is the orange set…which I find interesting since multiple rooms IN my home feature the color orange rather heavily. hmmmm…..

I believe those color studies are by Cassandra at coco+kelley.
thanks janet…I will go take a look and put a note to credit her!
My favorite scheme? Almost immediately I chose #6. There is something about a deep red with that almost pistachio color in the setting in the top right of #6. That and the stripes, which for some reason I’m starting to like this year. Nature is full of color and as an artist, I can’t resist color.
