Rainbow Bright Garden Furniture

Do you think there is yet another little trend afoot? A trend for furniture that has a rainbow of color and a sense of 70’s bohemia.

I am certainly seeing a trend towards bright colors in general being used for outdoor furniture, but I think the woven rainbow effect is a trend all its own.

Are you noticing it too?  I am always curious to understand the source of design trends.  Like if there is a rainbow trend, is it as a response to the dismal economy and a desire to be bright and cheery regardless?  Conversely, it makes me wonder what has driven past trends for severe, monochrome, hard, and austere pieces.  Is it economic prosperity?  Or is it that there is no relation at all?  What do you think?

Hi, I'm Rochelle and for 18 years I have worked as a landscape designer, author/writer, and design teacher. I've designed residential and hospitality (for hotels, restaurants, and spas) gardens across the USA and in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. After many years of teaching garden design topics in person, I launched the PITH + VIGOR Boot Camp series in early 2018. Through my blog, social media, and online courses (Garden Design Bootcamp and Planting Design Boot Camp) I aim to help homeowners learn how to confidently design and create home gardens that reflect their own personal and unique style.
