Chartreuse Plants to Make Your Property Memorable.

February 18, 2009

Mind Cafe has a little article about the mind that, interestingly, claims that Chartreuse is the most memorable color.  Far more so than red.   In fact, this story stated that in many places emergency vehicles are even being re-painted in chartreuse.  I am remembering this because it is one of my favorite colors in the garden.  Almost a year ago Accent Home and Garden Magazine published this cover and I have remembered it ever since (perhaps because the planting is strong on the chartreuse?)

This is what I want the front of my house to look like….all I have to do is add the plants, and paint my windows white.

But this got me thinking…if you have a house to sell and you want your place to stick out in buyers minds, perhaps chartreuse is the best color for plantings.   Or if you want to make your destination memorable (i.e. a hotel or restaurant) – make your property stick out with eye-catching chartreuse.   Here are some of my favorite chartreuse plants.

Great article! I personally like this Chartreuse color since my childhood days. This brain habits article is cool too. Thanks to sharing.
