Edina Todoki is creating some inspiring and unique versions of vertical gardens. The portrait succulent living wall is an installation on a roof garden in Brooklyn.
Her previous installations around Brooklyn are a variety of moss images on the walls of buildings, construction sites and even in the subway.
My favorite is this piece titled Wildboard that featured grass. The planting are very inspiring, Edina even provides a pictorial demonstration of her process from making the stencil to mixing the moss in a blender in her kitchen sink. I am unsure how long these last – I suppose it depends on the weather. Do you think this idea could be incorporated into residential garden design? Hmmmm….it has me thinking….
