The Mouse and Trowel Awards

If you follow this sort of thing you might already know this….but I have been nominated for a few Mouse and Trowel Awards. I am so excited mostly because I never really expected to get nominated….admittedly I was hoping to get on the list for best garden design blog, but I was truly a little overwhelmed by my other nominations first for website design — and most excitingly for GARDEN BLOG OF THE YEAR!! Can you believe it? I am working on getting a widget to put in my sidebar to allow you to vote right away for the categories that I am up for but you really should head to the mouse and trowel site and vote for all the categories. It is a great way to explore some new sites that are really great. You have until midnight on May 17th to go vote.  Please take a few minutes to do so, I never really understood how much this sort of validation can mean to a blogger until I got nominated… all the nominees would really appreciate your consideration.    And to those of you who are responsible for my being on the list….Thank you, it really, really means so much to me that you all enjoy my work here.

Hi, I'm Rochelle and for 18 years I have worked as a landscape designer, author/writer, and design teacher. I've designed residential and hospitality (for hotels, restaurants, and spas) gardens across the USA and in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. After many years of teaching garden design topics in person, I launched the PITH + VIGOR Boot Camp series in early 2018. Through my blog, social media, and online courses (Garden Design Bootcamp and Planting Design Boot Camp) I aim to help homeowners learn how to confidently design and create home gardens that reflect their own personal and unique style.
