The Gardenist on Apartment Therapy

Ok — I am posting this here, just in case you missed it on Wednesday.  (I don’t mean to leave anyone out!!)

Wij Tradgardar

So, here it is, my inaugural column on Apartment Therapy where I introduce myself as ‘The Gardenist’.

If you are curious where I found inspiration for the name, check out this link.

By last count, this post had (74) comments!!  A fact which I find shocking and motivating at the same time.  I have even inadvertently managed to inspire a little comment drama, which I suppose is the flip side to wishing I had more comments here.

So, if you want a little more studio ‘g’ type stuff with a little more of an Apartment Therapy twist, join me every wed, over there at 1:15 EST.

Hi, I'm Rochelle and for 18 years I have worked as a landscape designer, author/writer, and design teacher. I've designed residential and hospitality (for hotels, restaurants, and spas) gardens across the USA and in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. After many years of teaching garden design topics in person, I launched the PITH + VIGOR Boot Camp series in early 2018. Through my blog, social media, and online courses (Garden Design Bootcamp and Planting Design Boot Camp) I aim to help homeowners learn how to confidently design and create home gardens that reflect their own personal and unique style.

Where have you been all my life? I just found Studiogblog and I find it to be the best source for everything gardening I have found on the internet. I like that it’s not just some one talking about their own garden, but providing hundreds of ideas and links and designs etc. Thank you so much for all that you do to pass along the wonders and creativity of this amazing world we live in.

Wow, Yay, congrats! I think your style of blogging will fit right in at AT. Just thicken your skin to the comments, and quickly. I’ve never seen a bigger group of whiners and soap boxers anywhere else on the internet! While other similar sites like Design*Sponge and Remodelista seem to ilicit supportive, enthusiastic comments, something about AT’s crowd is a little on the rude and critical side.

oh well, so happy to get a double dose of your amazing garden style, i don’t care where I get it!
