I have wanted to develop the travel end of this blog a lot more in depth. And I think I found a tool that will help me bring it more to the forefront. Have you used Google maps? – oh, all the time right…but did you know that you can create your own maps of places. I didn’t. My mind is running wild. Local Bostonian Kris Lucius has created a Landscape and Architectural interest map for my local Boston. You can find it here. And fellow blogger Adam Andersen who writes Design Under Sky is also creating an LA focused map for greater Los Angeles – very cool. Mine however will be much more ‘garden’ focused and I have a highly ambitious vision of spanning the world. I am thinking I need help. If you are interested in helping…perhaps with your own area, I would love to hear from you. Email me and we can talk further…right now I need to head back over to google to figure out more about how to make this happen.
After playing around for about 10 minutes, I added some of my local favorites. I can add collaborators…so email me if you would like to add your own favorite local places. I would really appreciate it if you did! It is called Garden Travels — I think you may be able to see the progress we make as you all help out. working on that….
You need to add Manito Park, in Spokane Washington. You can check out this link http://www.manitopark.info/ this time of year it is fairly dead, but spring-fall it is beautiful, and definatly worth many visits!
Cool idea Rochelle. Have you checked out GardenVisit.com? They have nice maps of gardens from around the world.

Thanks for the shout. FYI it’s Adam ANDERSON, not Sandersen. Good luck on your map.
