Wow! Thanks! Welcome!

June 11, 2009

This week has been a wild one and I want to thank you all for it. As a blogger it is most satisfying to know that people are interested in hearing what you have to say and, even better, engaging in the conversation. I feel like this week might go down in the Studio ‘g’ record books as the beginning of something big. It started on Monday – when I was able to put my hands on a copy of Worcester Magazine to see that yes, in fact, Sprout was right, my Adventures in Urban Gardening post had been largely reprinted in that publication. Welcome Worcesterites. Heading home, I went to the bookstore where I picked up the June Issue of the ASLA’s Landscape Architecture Magazine. Daniel Jost wrote a great article this month about bloggers and I was featured along with some other very talented and exciting bloggers in the Landscape industry. On Tuesday, I was able to log on and take a look at the online version of an article I wrote about design inspiration which, I have to say, I am quite proud of. It is in Landscape Middle East (click here to see it and then page over in the online magazine to page 42).
Yesterday marked my biggest traffic day ever….by alot. Late last night I discovered that much of that extra traffic is coming here from a post on Apartment Therapy!! (Today is my Birthday, and I am considering that my first birthday gift – Thank you Apartment Therapy – if you ever want to talk gardens and landscape inspiration you know where to find me!).

Welcome all you new visitors, I look forward to seeing you around more. And finally…for those of you here in New England, I am excited to tell you that next Friday, I will be helping to build a garden that I designed for Hope in Bloom and Chronicle is going to cover the whole story. I will let you know when that airs as soon as I know. Isn’t this is best birthday week ever!!

I am on a roll people…I am feeling so lucky and blessed…Anyone know what the Powerball is playing for? Didn’t some young cowboy just win? Oh-well – I still think I need to road trip to New Hampshire to buy a ticket.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

Happy Birthday! I too am so glad I found your blog. I’ve been reading for about two weeks and can’t get enough, and I’ve been telling everyone I know about it. I read Apartment Therapy but really wanted an Apartment Therapy for Gardens/Landscapes. I’ve found my fix, and I’m really looking forward to using some of the ideas I’ve found here for my garden this year 🙂
