Daily Garden: Villandry Through the Lens of Fundera grönt

July 14, 2010

As totally, epically, unachievable gardens go (at least by the common homeowner), Villandry in France might be one of the world’s best.  Regardless of its insanity, I  Nonetheless  stare in awe at the beautiful pictures collected at Fundera grönt.  There are more beautiful images if you click through to the site.

Most of these images are of the kitchen garden (potager).  Lettuces never looked so beautiful to me and I am in awe of the statistics.  Over 250,000 vegetable and flower seedlings are grown and planted every year in this garden alone.  I visited once during the winter and so, missed this collection.   I am thinking a summer visit might be in order.
