I read this morning that wild licorice root (Glycyrrhiza lepidota) sells to chefs for 70$ a pound.  I think I need to know more about this native plant.  How to grow it, how to cook with it and and how sell it for 70$ per pound.

  1. I have grown this from seed. As far as native plants go, this one was pretty easy. It would take a few years to get harvestable root. However, from what I read, this is a good spreader once established.

I have no association with Everwilde Farms except that I find them a great resource for native seeds.
