Garden Designer’s Roundtable: A Report From My Own Experiment Garden

May 22, 2012

[singlepic id=144 w=500 h= float=]

I know I have mentioned it before, but my garden really is a test bed for a huge variety of garden experiments.   I can’t help myself….perhaps it is the physicist in me….but I am always putting some theroy or method to the test in my own garden-y way.

Care to see the projects and the conclusions or ongoing lab trials I have currently going on?    Join me in the slideshow….

  1. Andrew Keys says:

I vote wholeheartedly for the bottom paint color (the more pale yellow), especially with Cotinus, don’t paint the picnic table, and when I came to visit you and your garden, I don’t recall ANY mention of a zip line. Um, we’re going to have to do something about that!

  2. I agree wholeheartedly with Andy – the bottom color gets my vote. Thanks for sharing your experiments with us, too! I’ve had the same experience with bok choi – I blame the vegetable, not our gardening skills. But then, that’s what I always say. 😉

  3. Matt says:

For the barn, go modern. Choose the lighter colour for the whole of the building, but do random strips of various thicknesses along the siding.

  4. Pam/Digging says:

Your garden looks like a fun, experimental place, Rochelle. thanks for sharing it with us.

  5. Look at me, I’m a rebel, I LOVE the top color!! 🙂
