Garden Fresh Tomato Juice

September 10, 2012

garden tomato pepper onion and celery by rochelle greayer www.studioblog.com

I’m overwhelmed with tomatoes.  My few beds are producing about 25 lbs of tomatoes every few days.  So I have this idea — now that school is back in session.   I’m making little morning gifts for a few mom friends (in honor of the first full week back to school)…it involves lots of tomatoes, souped up with celery, and the peppers from the garden and delivered in a large mason jar.  I’m leaving plenty of room for the addition of ice, and vodka (or gin).  I’m trying to figure out what to call my just-add-the-juice, individual-serving-sized, Mommy’s-little-helper, Bloody Mary gifts….any ideas?

I’m using this recipe.
